| Hands-on practical courses |
This type of course takes out a large part of the passivity encountered with lectures. Hands-on courses often involves practising techniques on a table top or in a dedicated laboratory but occasionally participants may be involved in the treatment of patients. |
| Scientific meetings |
Scientific meetings are a very popular form of CDE. There may be a mix of lecture-based and hands-on programmes. |
